On June 21 and 22, the long-time insurance broker, formerly known as Megson FitzPatrick Insurance, will host a barbecue fundraiser at .

This long-standing initiative, which started at Westside Village 13 years ago, was inspired by a now-retired shareholder who lost their daughter to the disease in 2006.

Today celebrating the Colwood branch鈥檚 one-year anniversary, the team invites the community to stop by Quality Foods, where they鈥檒l be grilling hotdogs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds go to the , a leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a charity that鈥檚 really dear to our hearts because one of our team members lost a family member to the disease, and it hit all of us very hard. Through that experience, we all learned a lot about juvenile diabetes, and agree it鈥檚 a cause worth supporting. That is why we have hosted this fundraiser after all these years,鈥� says Laura Bolster, Managing Director.
